Descrizione
The Monte Pisano Art Festival is a series of events that brings to life the most enchanting places of Monte Pisano, offering an emotional storytelling experience of the territory.
For twelve days at the end of July, the squares, villages, churches, and courtyards of the five municipalities of Monte Pisano transform into an open-air stage.
Opera, theater, concerts, nature, and local flavors.
For the first time, the Festival comes to the Municipality of Capannori, in Pieve di Compito, on July 20th at 9:00 PM, set in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Orsi, with the opera La Traviata. It is only fitting that the Camellia Village hosts Verdi’s masterpiece.

Produced by FuoriOpera
A lyrical theatrical piece where acting, singing, and music blend into a single performance.
Pages from The Lady of the Camellias by Alexandre Dumas (the Younger) alternate with Verdi’s music, weaving the dramatic thread born from reading letters of an old patient of Dr. Grenvil: Violetta — her brief but intense life, her love for Alfredo, her sacrifice.
At the heart of the performance is the dialogue between Violetta and Germont, between surrendering to true love—finally a love that loves back—and societal duty demanding decorum. This dialogue reveals the bourgeois tragedy in which Mademoiselle Valéry, after a faint attempt to defy fate… yields.
She steps aside in the name of bourgeois decorum, so fiercely upheld by a man who will regret his words, regret them… until his tears fall with every blink…
It is too late! Violetta Valéry dies in the arms of those she loves most.
